E40D TC

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good torque converter for my e40d? I think i fried it last night. It was a stock one but had less than 7000 miles on it. I want to upgrade so this dont happen again and I plan on addin stage 1 sticks in the future so i know the POS stock tranny wont hold up.

anyone else have other options? I think the PI Stallion looks great but is there any other budget TC that will hold a bit of power? Any sponsors here that can help me out?

That looks to be a pretty good option. It says the price is with a core charge, what does that mean if my converter is shot anyway? The PI Stallion looks like the ticket, but I dont have $1100 for a TC.

If your wanting to save money, look around your area for a TC shop. I know I needed some tcs rebuilt, save alot of money by doing it through that route. I own heavy equipment amn the torque converters for them are not cheap, Had a dozer converter done for 2500, where the dealer wanted 6000, plus 3 weeks waiting, redid a backhoe converter, cost 125 and dealer wanted 900 for it. So check around and see if there is any shops local or close by. You may want to check with local racers to see who they use for their TCs.
