O'Reilly house brand or WIX?

Which air cleaner is better? or more so, is there a good reason not to go with house brand? $10 for house brand or $33 for WIX. i have the stock air box with metal screws, which i will swap out some day, but stock for now.

i generally consider WIX a good brand, but the budget is tight this month.

thanks guys!

Have no clue about your year but I stick with motorcraft. At least until I get an aftermarket intake.

Wix are a really good high quality air filter, the house brands have much less paper pleat material, thus giving you less filtering ability.

The house brand, MicroGuard, is a purolator filter, as are Motorcraft filters. The microguard filters are good, check prices with the motorcraft, they are usually cheaper and same if not a little better quality.

id stay away from FRAM, STP and the like and of course always recommend WIX filters but i understand budget issues.
