Leaking Power Steering Fluid
My truck has been steadily leaking p/s fluid. I put in about a bottle of fluid per every 500 miles I drive it. I've been putting this off for a while but 'm getting tired of having p/s fluid stains on my driveway....
Upon cursory inspection it looks as though it's leaking from around the base of the steering column. There's 2 metal hoses (p/s pressure line & return line maybe??) that come out of this area and it looks as though it's the wettest around them. I don't think anything is wrong with the pump itself I think(I hope) I just have a leak. Is it possible the fittings of those 2 metal hoses have failed or something like that? |
