Diesel Purge

Anyone ever used Diesel Purge (properly) with these trucks? how well does it work? I head great things from people with Mercedes and i think Cummins and stuff...

i ask because i have no clue how old my injectors are and cant afford to replace them for a while. the truck has veggie kit and i dont know how frequently the PO forgot to shut down on diesel if he even forgot at all...

all i know is it starts and runs rough for 5-10 seconds. after that i think its fine, but i wouldnt know its my first diesel.

I have had many diesel vehicles. (i.e. MB, VWs, Dodge, Jeep CRD and now Ford) I have used the Lubro Moly Diesel Purge on all my vehicles once a year and it works very well for old and/or dirty injectors. I have not yet used it on my Ford since I have only had it for 4 weeks but I'm going to as soon as the weather gets warmer and after I find a good schematic of the fuel system. I came across the stuff about 10 years ago when I was stationed in Germany and it is highly used there on all diesels. It is still new to the diesels here in the states but the VW and MB crowds are making very popular.

what do u mean by purge? as in after u switch from veg how long? well depending on ur system, i have the v3 so its like 45 seconds and if its not long enough my truck will smoke in the morning. my buddy has a plant drive and he put a clear fuel hose so u can actually see it push the veg back and see diesel running through, about 1m 30s or 2 minutes he said for his to purge, i will be making my purge longer since i have a higher milage truck i wanna make sure i have no veg when cold

update i guess. all seems well with the truck. ive only used seafoam, and only once. time with my truck has taught me that my injectors work quite well at the moment.

that romping went away after a cps change and removal of the improper wvo system. and new one is one its way in.
