Dana 60 rebuild

I swapped in a dana 60 into my truck but never had the money at the time to rebuild it. What i am looking for is the proper method for tightening the outer bearing. Also the part #s for the seals and bearings etc. The 60 is out of a 1995 f-350.

wheel bearings i bet.

http://www2.dana.com/pdf/5309-3.pdf

page 15 in that manual direct from DANA/Spicer

you tighten them down good and tight to seat the bearing, this pushes any grease out of the way and ensures you have them fully on.
then you back it off. and tighten back until you have .001 - .010" total end play.
that is a free play approaching none.
basically you tighten it until you just cannot feel any movement in and out.
iirc bearing that run in oil get a little preload and ones that run in grease get freeplay
