Lightbulb :help1: I need your judgement on this 1996 F350 PSD

I have been lookin into buyin a psd for a while and have finally found one in my price range w. what i would say is the BEST body style that ford has ever had. Anyway I dont know to much about diesels yet and was wondering if anyone could look at this truck and tell me what they think.

its decently priced
first thing to check is oil pan since its plowed with check to see if its rotted out
i also have a 1996 f350 psd it was never plowed with and had 124000 and paid about same price everything is stock so i no he never beat on it.

let me know how it turns out theres more out there first one i looked at was a 97 and he wanted 9800 it had 135000 i wanted bad but i check craigs list and found mine

I would be careful of plow trucks, even more so because it has an auto tranny. It is worth going and looking at, just when you go check everything real good. I thik their is a thread that is a sticky that tells what to look for when buying a Power Stroke.

Be carful when buying one of these trucks you want a nice one sombody has cared for. It is hard to walk out of the parts store spending less than $200.00. For exzample front wheel bearings over $300.00 a side. If you are not carfull the $ you are saving buy buying a cheaper truck can go right back in it.

are you just talkin about the under side of the oil pan????????? like scratchers or what????? I appreciate all of ur guyses advice

I think I would stay away. Just from pictures looks like it has been ragged on. If I was to buy a truck today I would look for one that has spent it's years with a old man and looks as stock as can be.
