Gears!

When im cruising at 70 mph my rpms are at about 3200. Does that mean i have 4.10s or what? Its a 5 speed manual. Also my boost gauge used to sit at 5 psi at that rpm but now it sits at about 3psi. What does that mean?

4.10 should put you at or about 2300 but 3200. wow thats geared low. 5.13 maybe? are the tires stock size? i assume your are in 5th and not 4th also. running 1 to 1 in forth you can use the calculator to find out your gears. i believe randys ring and pinion has one on thier site. maybe one on here also but i dont know.

Yup sounds right. I have 4.10 with the 5 speed in my truck. My truck is almost always running over 3 grand. If I remember correctly, 65MPH is like almost 3K. JJ

That sounds wrong, My truck runs at 2500 at 70 to 72 and its 4.10 with a five speed. I dont see 3000 until I reach 80 to 82

I will try to get my old truck back out tomorrow and run it down the road. I have not driven it in about a month so I am not absolutly sure but mine seems to run high RPMs from what I remember. JJ
