Oil pressure gauge

Was wanting to put in an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, was wondering with the hpop, if I had to have ant special gauge for higher pressure numbers

For regular pressure all you'd need is a 100 psi sender and it can be mounted to the right of the oil filter for bottom end pressure or "T'd" into the sender on top of the HPOP sump to see HPOP supply pressure. If HPOP pressures are what you are after ISSPRO and I believe AutoMeter both make a 3500 psi sender and gauge for the high pressure rail.

I've seen the hpop gauges, and that was why I was curious.
When you say right of the oil filter, you mean there is a fitting there I can thread my gauge into?
Its been awhile sense i've looked under there

Spec is 10-40 psi at idle and generally there is no off-idle spec. Al long as the pressure goes up with off idle rpm it's fine.

Okay, I put the gauge in and at idle it reads just under 10, presuming the difference is coming from the gauge I have, $25 from O'Reilly to keep me going till I get Autometers

Below 10 psi may indicate that it's time for a LPOP....

I've heard of other possible low pressure culprits, any way to confirm the lpop without replacing it?
