broke truck,,,,,,,, expensive fix

so my steering box broke on me last night luckily it was in a driveway rather than on the highway. the shaft from the box to the linkage broke from the impact of only a dear a coulple weeks ago. so ive got my dads truck now and it is most likely going to be a long time for the insurance company to fix it. but i hear they are about $600. and $300 from a junk yard

Wait... what?

So the deer had it out for you? Did he come back after you went to bed and did a number on your truck?

Maybe I'm just not meant to understand.

Clearly that deer didnt come after him, it was his fellow thug deer. DUH

He's lucky he left the door to the house shut, deer have a hard time using knobs, otherwise, who knows what would have happened

If I'm reading correctly he hit a deer, and that apparently damaged the "shaft from the box to the linkage" which I am thinking would be meaning the pitman arm. Then later while in the driveway the steering became completely inoperable, and he has comprehensive insurance which covers vandalism and destruction caused by wild animals. So the insurance company is getting charged $600 for a pitman arm which would be less than half that even from ford, and the deductable on his comprehensive coverage is $100.
