for my zf5 swap from a junk yard i paid 900 For just the transmission, manual pedals and doghouse for the cab. then 50 for the crossmember, 500 for clutch and solid flywheel and about another 250, 300 for master and slave cylinder with attaching line, so if i woulda found that deal 750 for TCase and trans for a swap i woulda jumped all over it because in south dakota your lucky for find anything 800 or less just for the transmission and trans came from a 92 f250. dont know if thats 42 or 45 at that time.
also my last zf5 swap i did i beleive i paid 650 for a 1986 f350 zf5 trans which about 6 months later stripped the teeth on the output shaft and the input stub on tcase...so get whatcha pay for sometimes to repair that i put in a brand new spankin zf5 45 for 1500$ and used 20k mile Tcase for 250$ so expensive oops
