auto trans

will an auto out of a 2001 or 2002 work in a 1995 5 speed. i am tired of shifting and i like the consistent power of an auto. (lose boost everytime you shift a manual) i know crossmembers and driveshaft will be different. i just want to know will the trans shift and work properly. thanks

I believe that the problem with the swap will be electronics. As both th E4OD and the 4R100 are electronicly controled, and are not directly interchangeable, although simular. Also the 99 and later use diffrent injectors so a swap of just the harness and ECU are not possable. I hope that this helps.

I have a 96 F350 dually with an auto that I would like to swap for a five speed.
