Dots on speedo

I noticed dots on the speedo around 30 and then 60 any idea on what they are for

Well it's weird because they are between 20 and 25, 25 and 30, 60 and 65, 65 and 70, if I remember correctly

"Calibration points" used during manufacture for needle placement, etc. maybe? Just a WAG on my part. Cheers!

The national speed limit in the us used to be 55

Um, 30 km/h is about 18 MPH. They wouldn't mark a US-destined (MPH) speedometer with Canada national speed limits.

The old US Federal 55-MPH speed limit was repealed long before the '92-'97-generation speedometer was first issued.

But the 92-95's have a red mark at 55 mph anyway because of it
