Unplugging map sensor

Does unplugging the MAP sensor do anything negative to the truck???

nothing neg just your cel will be on. and it gives you a little more power and smoke. you can get a boost fooler and no light will come on.

it will set a code. If the truck runs better, the map sensor is bad, replace it! with the map sensor unplugged, the ecm uses a default program. Its not supposed to run better on the default program, but if it does..... bad map. The map sensor itself wont set a code!
