Anyone know what this wire is for??

I put the HPX line on today and noticed a red wire with a black hood on it laying beside the drivers side valve cover to the right of the fuel filter bowl. Any ideas?? Wasn't sure if it is supposed to be hooked up to anything or just part of the wire loom and it's extra..

i think it might be off the water in fuel sensor. sensor has been known to leak so best/cheapest way to fix is remove sensor and put 1/8npt plug into hole.

if you look right where the left arrow begins, you will see the sensor that it is supposed to be attached to.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it may go there (nothing else near the plug) bbut it won't plug onto that sensor. The boot won't go over the end of the sensor. What sensor is that anyway?????
