just curious why.
i was just wondering why when my chip is on its highest horse power setting it doesn't smoke at all but if its on the second setting it smokes a quite a bit. I think the settings on the chip are +40 +50 +60 +75 horsepower and high idle, but when i put it on +75 there is almost no smoke (just about what stock smokes) but when i put it on +50 it will smoke a lot more then stock, +60 doesn't really smoke either, i was just wondering if any one knew why.
When i installed the chip the directions said to clean the contacts on the Engine control unit until copper showed, but when i talked to tony he said you should only clean the clear stuff off them so that all is left is soldier, don't know if this has to do with any thing, but maybe it does? maybe the +60 and +75 settings are not working because of it ? |

it may be that since it is higher it isnt getting the fuel to it so it doesnt smoke

maybe try shimming the fuel pressure regulator that might help with fuel delivery

Is the power there or is it like stock to? Tons of smoke is not nessasary to have good power mabey your truck is just efficient.

the power is definitely more then stock, if i take off from a stop light on stock it takes for ever to get up to speed if i turn it to any setting it takes like half the time to get up to speed.
