tranny question
i am installing a 4" turbo back exhaust on my 97 psd, i was underneath it and before I want t start anything there is a line that comes off the left side of my tranny, the 4" will not make it past this without either bending the downpipe or removing that line, can anyone tell me what the line does, cause i havent a clue!

If you haven't started, how do you know it won't clear? Could just be really close. |

well the previous owner installed a bully dog exhuast, and when he put the downpipe on he used a hammer and put a nice dent in the downpipe right by that cooler line, yeah its a hard line and theres anyother that runs just a bit farther back and is the same, so i didnt know if he didnt turn the downpipe enough or would that not make a difference?

try to put the new exhaust on. You should be fine

you have to cut the old DP in 3 places, cut the goose neck off at the turbo, cut half way point, cut before cross member. she will come out NP.. and you cant do a 4" DP on a OBS truck, not a chance in hell it will fit, 3" round barley fits after bashing firewall in

i havent got the 4" yet but it should be here shortly, the 3 inch thats on there hasnt had to have any work done to the firewall, at least not what i can tell, the whole system is welded so when i get the new system it is goin to be using all clamps instead, just to make it easier on myself.
