i think you bypass the map sensor? im not positive, im not sure if i can do it on my truck, so i never did much reading up on it.

basically it doesn't allow the computer to adjust the amount of fuel going in for more total burn. so it just dumps it. I think.

someone on here can help you out for sure.

higher altitude also = more smoke!!

The exhaust gases can only flow as fast as they can move through the smallest (diameter) part of the pipe. You might get some power back but to get the full effect get a full 4" TB. Ive got the stock exhaust system just with no muff dumped in front the tire. Its fine but I will be upgrading to a dual 4" TB around Christmas

the obs trucks cant dump that much fuel in, even full on. i believe its like 100ccs for single shots, and 120ccs for split shots?? iono. i could be wrong..

You cant do a smoke switch on a OBS and unplugging the map sensor wont do much for smoke, if you want a good amount of smoke without spending alot on injectors and other supporting mods get a Tony Wildman chip with a smoke tune and you'll be able to roll a decent amount of coal

Heres my 95 with a wildman chip on smoke tune
