Cheap Spunk

I have discovered (maybe an old trick but i just tried it) a power adding trick thats cheap and i have seen no problems associated with it. The trick is to put 1 gallon of the lowest octane gasoline in a tank of diesel. it gives a noticable improvment in power and throttle response. anybody heard any problems that can happen from doing this.

You may very well get away with it in a 7.3, but it is not advisable for a 6.0 since their injectors are very sensitive to water. Gasoline most places these days contains enough ethanol to bond with any minute amount of moisture that may be in your tank and pass it through the water seperator and onto the injectors. Not a cheap fix or affordable fix on the best of days.

That sounds like a very bad idea. Who gave you this idea. I cant imagine the diesel fuel and gasoline would ever mix.

FYI: I had a 81 rabbit diesel, they recommended adding gasoline to the tank up to 25% concentration to combat winter gelling. But this manual is 25years old now.
