New to the 7.3, teach Me

Hey guys. Just bought my first Diesel truck. 1999 F-350 4x4 7.3 stick. It has a 2005 front end on it. I just have a few noob questions I'm sure

1. My rear brakes do not work. Probably air in the lines? common problem?
2. white smoke and hard to start. Glow plugs?
3. Do the 17" rims from the newer trucks bolt on and look good without spacers?
4. Do 2008 and up mirrors bolt on?

I have read many articles already and im sure the glow plugs are the white smoke and starting issue, the relays are brand new. Thanks for the help guys. BTW my names Mike and i'm located in Toronto.

ps I plan on doing the injector pump oil change proceedure to keep the injectors happy and also clean out that thin exhaust tube that fills with soot. anything else ?
