Speedometer a little twitchy

At certain speeds, the speedometer needle bounces a little, possible speed sensor on the trans?

There's no speed sensor on the trans. The VSS is in the (rear) diff. Prime suspect - either the sensor or there's crud on the tone ring that interfaces with it. How old is the diff lube?

The way the former idiot owner maintained the truck, most likely original, but that is one of my things to do before winter is to check the rear, including axle bearings and ring and pinion.

Start by pulling the sensor and cleaning it, then replace it if it's still doing it. Beyond that it could be the tone ring, wire, PSOM or RABS unit. Don't put it off too long, if you have a automatic it will throw off shifting.
