OBD2?

95 F250. I am looking for a good scanner, heard obs trucks might or might not be obd2, just for kicks, I plugged my Actron obd2 scanner in, came on, turned key on, linked with truck, pushed enter to read codes, no codes present, would my truck be obd2?

Early OBS trucks needed the PCM flashed, my 94 was the same way. from 96+ when OBDII was standard there was no need to be reflashed.

Some scan tools work, some don't, generally the cheaper ones won't read our trucks

Make sure the scanner is able to read the Ford Enhanced parameters. Most don't. SnapOn MT2500 with the correct cartridge, AutoEnginuity with the Ford bundle are some examples. Cheers!

I have to identify my truck as a 95 to use my solis scan tool. It works normally after that.
