Hi Powerstroke Trayback,
Welcome to the Org. from a fellow Brisbane member.
They are pretty broad questions that you ask! I have set my 250 up primarily for towing but being a later model I started a little further down the track. The intercooler is obviously your first mod, then you should look at intake and exhaust. Custom Tuners can give fuel savings as well as improved performance: most offer specific "Tow" settings.
Where in Brisbane are you? I live in Sheldon.

from Bloomington Indiana. I had a 95 OBS truck. The first thing I would upgrade is the exhaust. I would install an aftermarket downpipe, eliminate the cat and muffler. The downpipe off the turbo is flat after it makes the bend to go behind the engine.

Howdy!

There is no real way to tell you what fuel mileage you will get, every truck is a bit different. Log your mileage during you first trip and we can go from there. Just guessing? Maybe 14-17mpg.

I can get up to 18mpg in my superduty with a travel trailer around 5 tons loaded. But, I have custom tuning and a bit of work done.

Hi from down under

Thank you all for your welcomes,
250 Downunder I'm in Richlands in Brisbane.
Most suggest exhaust mods etc & intercooling.
intercooling i had planed. exhaust i will be fitting 4" dump pipe remove cat
then twin 4" stacks as room behind cab is tight. Had not intended to remove muffler, how noisy does this make it 250 downunder.
Tunes for towing & programer available & where can i obtain these?
Any help appreciated
