just wondering if anyone can tell me what this part is/does? it is on my 95 psd. i have seen it in there for a while now, and tried looking it up in the chiltons with no luck of finding out what it does. the piece in the photo is just in front of the fuel drain valve. thanks.

Well I am not sure but....

If it is the doodad then it is cheap at any parts store.

If it is the thingamajig it is not that much to replace when it breaks but it is a dealer only item.

If it is the whatchamacallit then it is very expensive to replace that requires special ordering from the dealer that the truck was purchased from. No other dealer would be able to get this part.

According to the part number in the photo, it is the "Fuel Filter Water in Fuel Control Switch (not the part in the bowl)"
(Ford) F4TZ-9J294-A (94-97)
(International) 1821712C1 (In harness behind HPOP reservoir pass. side)
