Im curious here. Im interested in rebuilding my turbo but i have a feeling its not stock or my buddy's 96 isnt stock. I dont know which one is which and a web site that has new housings and rebuild kits says 94-99 BUT my buddy's 96 is different than my 97. is the 97 stock turbo is garrett brand or is it something else? Does anyone have pics of the stock one under the hood on a 97?

They should be the same..whats this 'feeling" that they are not the same? They are Garretts stock with a 1.1 housing.

Cary, it is 1.15AR housing

But kx592 yes, why do you think they are different?

94.5 to 97 Turbo's are all the same

you just answered the question haha 94.5-97...a rebuild site was selling kits for 94-99 and i figured they changed the turbo with the new body style...thanks!!

Some might list as 94-99, so that might be correct still
