I have had 4 ZD-11 glow plugs sitting in my garage now for quite some time that I bought from ebay for a steal but only just decided to install them. Rain has not stopped all day up here in BC but that didn't stop me.
I checked the resistance of my plugs some time ago and noticed I had one out on each side. Today, I just decided to do the drivers side, which appears to be the hardest so when I get the other 4 plugs in a few weeks then it won't take as long! I found a great "How to" thread on here which was pretty failsafe. When I pulled the first plug (the blown one) it was a deep breath moment. Didn't know what I was going to find but luckily it was intact, just blown. Low and behold, the previous owner installed Autolites 1111......all of the drivers side where a little swollen but not to the point where they wouldn't come out. Just glad now I have 4 Beru's and another 4 to follow soon!
Others things over the weekend was ordering my 4 pillar gauge set up. Went for Trans temp, EGT's, Boost and Fuel pressure in the stack. I should be getting those mid week and maybe installing next weekend.
I also just placed an order with Riff Raff for a turbo boot as mine has totally fallen apart and ripped up pretty bad (noticed today now bad it actually was) I also bought the 2 manifold boots to match!
Forgot to mention the copious amounts of booze I drank Friday and Saturday!
