took the truck into the shop and...

so i took the truck into the shop and they pulled the codes on it. They found nothing and now im really puzzeled. The truck is running fine here in NC, but when my driver had the truck in Ohio he was pulling an empty trailer back and he said it pulled like crap. When he would drop the trailer off at his house and drive the truck around he said it ran great. But when he put the trailer on it it would crap out, and this is an EMPTY trailer. I drove the truck to the shop and it ran fine, the boost gauge is fluttering but i was able to hit 15lbs of boost and it ran good. The guy that worked on my truck is a fellow powerstroke owner and he said the fuel pressure was fine, and it had absolutly no codes stored in it. He also said it is a very strong running truck and didnt know why it crapped out with the trailer. Anybody have some ideas on what to go and look for now? Im going to go and hook up the trailer to it tomorrow and see what it does here. The driver said that with the trailer hooked up to it, it would act like it was a diffrent truck and would not build up boost and pull it.

Maybe your driver isn't used to the truck or maybe he put a couple gallons of gas in it.

i can check the filter and bowl again, but i just changed the filter 2000 mi ago, and the old one looked fine, the only reason i changed it was because i just bought the truck. I KNOW FOR SURE, gas was NOT put in it. I guess im going to have to just give it time and see if it does it to me. Thanks for the input guys

Yea, the only way to know if something is actually wrong is if you drive it..dont always listen to other guys when it comes to your truck and "how it feels"....drive it hard today and post back.
