EBPV question...

I just received one of these EBPV terminators DFUSER Diesel Performance Products Exhaust High Performance Part Diesel Intake Diesel Power Chips and I am curious about something...
On an ordinary day ( 74F and cold engine) is the EBPV open or closed before startup? How do I verify its position?
I want to install this thing as well as remove the actuator rod so that it NEVER OPERATES AGAIN...but I need to know how to tell that it is definitely OPEN before sabotaging it.

you have to remove the turbo and pedistal to get the rod out and plug the hole. when you have it apart i would also recomend removing the butterfly valve from the ehaust and plug that hole with a freeze plug

OK...so maybe I won't remove the rod.

But how do I confirm that the butterfly is OPEN?

Look at the rod before you start the engine to see its position. Then start it up, let it warm up, see which way it moved.

if you just want to make sure its open take the clamp off of the down pipe and look towards the turbo you will see the butterfly valve. once you know its open i would wire it that way this way there is no chance of it closing even with the ebpv wires disconected
