cat removal

Took the exhaust off my truck from the end of the cat back and smashed out the inside of the cat with a 2 foot piece of half inch threaded rod. Sounds awesome and has a lot more power now. Can't wait to put my stacks on it.

What truck model year or VIN code trucks have cats? I had a 95 OBS that didnt have a cat, and now I have a 00 superduty that the stock exhaust didnt have a cat. Is there certain states that have cats and ones that dont? 2 trucks in a row and no stock cats!!

It's a 95 and I'm up in alaska. I think it was purchased from a ford dealership up here but it was all stock and the cat was about a foot thick and I pounded the **** out of it. I've got some pretty good flow now.
