Engine runs but accelerator pedal won't work?

Just got my motor started, finally. Did the hot-retorque and burnt my hands a good 10 times.

But I ran into another problem... The accelerator pedal won't work, the tach won't work, the oil pressure and engine coolant temp gauges aren't working. They were all working when I pulled the motor. Any tips?

Check your fuses. There is a fuse in your box that controls all of that stuff. I forget what its called though.

Checked every single fuse on the truck. The only one blown was number 16 in the dash. 16 is for the cigarette lighter.

Skinny pedal is plugged in. Anything else I can check? I just keep having one problem after another...

Pull the column cover off and check to see if the wires coming out of the gear shift and run down the column are chafed or broken. I'll bet you'll find your problem there.

I will check, I just don't understand why it would just now be giving me a problem? The truck has sat for 8 months, un touched.

I need to pull the ignition cylinder out to get the column cover off, correct?
