motor diffrences

i have a 95 cc 4x4 that i am either going to rebuild the engine or replace and build. the question i have is besides the powdered rods is there anything else different in the 99 and newer motors or are the the same. any help would be nice

Long block wise the e99 has 120 cc injectors, and is intercooled, the L-99-03 has 140 cc both are split shot, and intercooled, the 99+ uses 1 connector for the uvch per side, good luck bud

Not sure about the ECM but I know the early 99 and some 2000 had forged rods! Best 7.3 IMO is the 2000 since it has the forged rods and 17* HPOP. The ECM for a 99+ would be programmed for a 4R100 unless you have a manual trans. Blocks should be interchangeable though...

Just swap the injectors, turbo, up pipes, uvch, and you should be good to go, your computer will run that motor fine

using a newer 99+ block you will need to use e fuel since the mechanical pump will not bolt to the motor.

you can always swap everything from your motor to the new block if you use it and use an e fuel set up
