Oil Overfill???

Well I just changed my oil....Drained it hot, went in for about an hour and piddled 'til the engine cooled off some.
Put ~2 qts in the filter..actually I spilled probably 1/4 qt on the damn floor...

Went up top and put in 3 gallons...so ~14 qts altogether, which is what I usually put in...I drove the truck around a while....

Checked the dipstick...and now it's magically above the crosshatch??? Smelled of it, no signs of diesel or anything....

ideas? have I lost my mind??

Check your dipstick for a part number:

(quoted from PSD part numbers):
Dipstick part numbers: (If yours is stamped 1820068C1, REPLACE IT!, it reads 2 qts too low!!!)
(Ford) F4TZ-6750-E (F-Series)
(Navistar) 1824405C1

No sweat man, I'm just glad it was something minor, especially after the suffering you had with your injectors.
