low sulfur/black smoke

still am a fairly new diesel owner and low sulfur was the only available and still is. Heres my dumb question... can you get your rig to pump out some black smoke with the low sulfur?

Just put on my Diesel Particulate Filter delete pipe, I know with the programer it surely sends more fuel , But i do not have one yet. So when I do get it, well I just keep getting the whitish/grey mix or some black? Thanks.

well what year do you have because i believe only the 2008 models have the diesel particle filters on them, and i dont think you should get grayish-white smoke unless the engine is cold.

About the smoke thing, im not sure if ultra low sulfer diesel fuel stops the smoke, but i do know if you have a 95.5 - 97 truck you wont get much black smoke with the stock injectors for more smoke you need bigger injectors. A chip will get you some smoke but not alot the stock injectors are just to small.

If you have an 08' (since you said diesel particle filter) just ignore what i said above because i have no idea what 08's have/do

If you dont have an 08' did you mean catalytic converter instead of diesel particle filter ?

So i take it you did a Cat delete pipe instead of diesel particle filter correct.

And yes you will get some smoke from the chip but if you want alot of smoke you will need bigger injectors, but with bigger injectors you need to do other mods to your truck as well like intercooler, etc it all depends on how much bigger you go.

So the easiest way to ansewer your question is yes, you can put out some black smoke with just a chip.

Yes you can, but with out bigger injectors its going to be minimal. A chip will only give you so much thanks to your small injectors.

YAY! finally got the edge evolution and she finally blows some black smoke- Only when you floor it . Works for me, don't want bigger injectors with crazy fuel prices.
