Buried my truck friday. Story
Well, a friend and I were eating out and he gets a call and jumpos up in a hurry urging me to finish. So I get out to the truck and go WTF and he says just drive home. On the way he explains that a friend is stuck in a field in a jeep compass and needs pulled. We each take our truck, his 96 gmc and my 96 250. We get there at dusk and can see the jeep about 150 - 200 yds up a grassy field. The field looks solid and climbs only about 20 feet up to the back.
I lock my hubs and start flyin up the field about 30-40 mph wheel speed. I seem to e moving pretty good and about half way up just stop. So I throw it in four and try to rock it. No good. The top layer is solid but there is soft clay under the grass. S%!$, my buddy is coming up and goes around with some difficulty. he is sinking in about 2"
Fast forward 20 min------- I am up past my rims all around and he is almost to his rims, jeep still stuck.
We try to push out each with 10 guys and no lick so we decide to call another friend. He comes with his 95' 150 ( less weight lol)
and yanks each ou us out me being last.
I was the deepest and we let acout 30' of slack strap for a run to yank me good and mad it jerked.
I honestly felt let down but now I know the weakness of the truck---- Weight-- HAHA.
