97 superduty cab chassis

I just picked up a 97 superduty cab 84" CTA chassis factory air bag rear 7.3 auto former fire dept ambulance has 97,000 original miles. It has the little control box on the floor from Ford for different engine functions. Anyone know anything about this little box?

Maybe the conversion company that installed the Ambulance body installed it to compensate for the box weight. Has no leaf springs. And it is not the first one I have seen with air bags.

Sounds more like an air ride suspension than conventional air bags
