gear oil recommendation

looking to change the gear oil in the front and rear, we called 'em "acorns" back in the day. what do the experts recommend as a real good alternative to "Ford approved" gear oil?

I used royal purple in mine, the cost off set is minimal since I have LS in the rear and would have to get the traction modifier anyway

Nowadays we call 'em "pumpkins" .

RP, Schaeffer's, Amsoil are all excellent synthetics; even Mobil 1 has an entry. Preference seems to be regional; they'll all do better than the dino lube.

Valvoline sythentic. I'd use regular hypoid oil but the manual tells me not to.
