Talk me into a new bed

Well I have been searching on and off for the past year for a bed for my obs. My current bed is beat up and needs to be retired. I had some luck today and found one about an hour away but it does have some slight damage and surface rust. They want $350 plus tax and it doesn't have a tailgate, so I would need to find one elsewhere for about $200. I also got a quote for $6-800 to repaint the whole truck. What are y'all's thoughts?

Pics of the bed:

$600-800 is very cheap to paint a vehicle, I would make sure that they are doing quality work, the prep work alone at a quality shop is going to be near 1k... Even Maaco charges more than $800 right now to paint a car. Just my 2 cents...
I think the bed price isnt bad, is your tailgate toast too?

I would imagine the paint from Maaco for that price is just scuffing the old stuff so paint will stick ok and then spraying, did they mention about any actual sanding or body work for that price?
And what part of Florida are you in? I live in Thomasville, GA. but work in Tallahassee all the time... All though I am a UF alum!!! and proud Gatornation man
