need some help guys

Ok so I got a 97 ext cab lb with an e4od and I went for a ride yesterday and all of a sudden the Speedo dropped to zero my odometer went blank or would start shifting funny and the od light would blink. I checked the number 8 fuse for the Speedo what else can I look for?

I'm not sure I spent 12 hours almost under the trick this week changing the flywheel cuz it cracked than ivdrove it all day long yesterday purred like a kitten in roids and ran better than the day I bought it and than I went to drive it later that night got halfway down the block and that's what happened. I will try today to get a chance to look at it is it anyway its something other than wires going to the trans under the truck

Check or replace your VSS sensor on the rear pumpkin and of course wires leading to it .

With your odometer going blank, it's not the VSS. Pull the cluster and check that everything is plugged in fully. The trans relies on the speed signal which it gets from the PSOM, the PSOM gets the signal from the VSS. What your seeing is the trans going into limp mode because it doesn't know what speed your going.
