motor swap options on a 95

Jusy picked up a 95 350 cclb an its got low compression on #6 was planing on yanking the mill out and putting in a new used on i founf a few but am wondering in interchangeability i found a few 97s and a 95 as well i know 97 got tje forged rods would a 97 direct fit plug an play or am i gonna need a ecm and or idm from the 97 ?

97 f350 cclb 4wd xlt 7.3 e4od 34x12.5 Bfg allterrains 3" diamondeye s/s downpipe to 4" to 5" dual black turnout stacks, aux trans cooler, trans temp guage,diy 6637 intake, ts 6 pos chip. fpr shim, tc lockup switch, 10k mod
95F350 CCLB xlt 7.3 zf5 4wd 4" lift 35" procomp extreme all terrains 3" diamond eyes dp 4" straight ex. diy 6637
97 f250 eclb xlt 7.3 e4od 4wd bone stock

Late 96 and 97 model years will have split shot injectors. Custom tuning or a single shot swap will fix that. 94.5-2000 all had forged rods, not just 97.

Cali models are only late 96 and 97, but just swap injectors and it's plug and play, but all motors will work regardless of year, just an injector swap if 99-04, and intake plenims and turbo

Thanks for the replies guys. i figured as much that theyd interchange. i dragged home another obs last night i got for 900 97 f250eclb 4wd auto with 226*** on the clock has a bad pump.seal in the e4od. not in bad shape at all my collection just keeps growing lol im using the engine for my swap to my 95 cc
