I don't see any but to each his own. Some might argue that it would help. I took it off on all of my trucks.

You might forget how much oil it takes....

Yea i figured it doesnt really hurt to leave it but when i get new batteries this fall ill probably take it off because its a pain to take it off and put it on to access the battery

Yea that scares me because typically jiffy lube mechanics write that on there so the PO probably took it to them

remove it. makes it a pita to remove tha battery terminals need be.

I could help focus air at the filter at highway speeds ..... Just a thought .
