Cool UPDATE ON MY PSD :D

If anyone has been following my threads, my truck has been having some problems recently and I was in need of some help. It idled funny, and wouldnt crank at all when it was warm.

We took it to a diesel tech on Friday. He was gonna take a look at it and see what he could find wrong.

The guy (James) called us today around lunch time to give me some good news. He said that the hpop regulator was messed up (o-rings maybe?) and that the truck was fixed now. He also said that the rough idle was because an injector was sticking every once in a while, or something of the sort.

But anyway we drove it back home, cut if off, and went to crank it.....It cranked! lol i'm so happy now

I'm trying to convince my dad at the moment to let me get the injectors sent off and built (160cc's) so that would take care of the sticking issue. Gas mileage wouldnt be affected would it, as long as u keep your foot out of it?

Thanks for the help guys
-Tay

Glad to hear you got the truck running. Now its time to talk your Pops into letting you get a tuner and some stacks.

Good Luck, John

If you go 160's do you have gauges? That flows 20 more CC's then stock Superduty injectors which can put the egt's around 12-1300*.

With the 160 DIY rebuild they should increase fuel mileage

oh i can get a tuner for sure. I wanna do the 160cc's this summer, or next year with tax return money.

Me and some friends from school are skipping the last day and goin to Carowinds (amusement park in NC). So I'm saving now to get some Classic IIs or these ProComp wheels that look similar so my rig will be lookin good. But I'm going one day this week to get some 4" pipe to do a cat and muffler delete until i can get a full system or even STACKS.

might get a DP or TS that will work with future upgrades. Could stick my dad's superchips on there off his truck, you can get a fair amount with it.

Not to change the subject, but i just noticed you were from NC.

We're starting a NC/SC Org chapter, and we've only decided on the name so far. Its gonna be "Carolina Powerstroke Association, "CPA"". Come join in in us talkin bout the rest of everything if you want. If your interrested in it that is.
