Priming Fuel System?

I'm pretty new to these and have to change out the lock ring on my gas tank. I'm assuming I'll have to somehow get the air out of the lines after putting it all back together.

Any good ways to do so or is it just crank for a while, let it sit even longer, and repeat?

If the fuel bowl is empty save some time and cranking and pour fuel straight into it. Once it's running let it idle for a minute. All the air will not run through for 40-60 miles.

So it'll just run rough for those 40 - 60 miles?

Yes, little misses and what nots but it works through. Most of the air will miss the injectors and return to the fuel bowl to be bled back to the tank, a tiny bit will remain in the injector area. The stock mechanical pump is very poor at priming the system.
