Talking Half way through injector o-ring swap. This is cool!

We started this morning installing my new injector o-rings on my 7.3 PSD. the right side wasnt bad at all (side where intake is), but this left side is kinda trricky to get the valve covers off, and to get that last injector out.

But we got them all out and I was glad that we found the last injector on the left side had a shredded o-ring. Hope this fixes the problems.

BTW ford is outta their mind, it just costed me $150 for a valve cover gasket and 2 wiring harnesses. Because u know how the infamous wiring harness are that burn up constantly.

Just giving an update, nobody probably cares but I think I really wanna be a tech now for sure. Those injectors are a lot bigger than in the movies too.

Ok dads back now, so imma head back down there to see if we cant get this thing back together and go for a ride.

ttyl

we just finished up a short while ago. Got all the oil out, cranked it up and let it run for a while. We took it down the road and it just rolled blue smoke for a little bit, and then it calmed down.

We got home and cut it off, then tried to crank it again...DIDNT START. Man this stinks its doin the exact same thing it was doin, idles rough like it did and wont start.

Now what?
HPOP time?

Glad to hear to replacement went well. Sorry to hear you are having touble.. We'll get it fixed though. Look at it this way, you were losing a lot of oil. You NEEDED orings.

Have you checked the hpop reservoir? How long did you let it run? They can take some time to get all the air out of the system.

If you let it run for awhile and are stilling having issues you will need to run a diagnostic test on it. You will need some pid data, specifically icp, and ipr duty cycle.
