hpop o-rings? thread sealant?

i just got done installing new o-rings on the hpop, and almost have it completely back together. then i thought about a thread sealant on the fitings where i installed new o-rings. would it be a good idea to add some thread sealant to those fittings? the project is at a stand-still because i am comptemplating on taking them back out and sealing them. any suggestions? thanks in advance for your advice.

I don’t use sealant on O-ring fittings, that’s what the O-rings are for. I work with huge hydraulic systems in the steel mill and we try to stay away from thread sealants like Teflon tape because of contamination issues, we like O-rings and the purple locktite stuff.

The FORD kit comes with Red locktite. I used it the first time... and haven't since then.
