Cracked IPR?

I recently installed a new ipr. Still had some issues but a new CPS fixed it. Anyway, like always, I have bad luck. My truck hasn't been running right for the last week or so. I lose throttle response and injectors get real quiet. Truck dies sometime and throws a code. It would come and go. I dont have access to a code reader so im kinda stuck. Yesterday I drove the truck to work about 30 miles, ran great. About. a mile from the shop the CEL came on. At the end of the day
I started the truck, fired right up and died and now it wont start. Its got plenty of fuel pressure but it's not getting fuel. I put another idm in it, same thing. I pulled the ipr out today because I thought maybe it was sticking. Well after pulling it out I found out that the little black plastic ring that's behind the small o ring is cracked. Could this be the problem? Here's a pic, idk if youll be able to it see very good.Cracked IPR?-imageuploadedbyag-free1371074081.111441.jpg

The black plastic ring is a backup ring and has a diagonal split in it on purpose (if there was no split, you would never be able to install it). If there is more than one split, then you have an issue. Cheers!

Yeah I wasnt too sure about it. I knew the repair kits come with the ring but I didn't know it was split. I've never fully disassembled an ipr so I wasn't sure how they get put on there lol. Thanks for the info!
