broken flywheel

Ok the shop called me today and said I have a broken flywheel. And it will be a week before they can get one. Does anyone have one laying around cheap.
I have a 97 f 350 CC 7.3 powerstroke with an E40d tranny (automatic of course). They have had the truck for about 3 weeks now I would really like to get my truck back. Help Please!!!!!!

Hmm how did you break the fly wheel?

PM CingularChris - I just bought his 97 motor and the flywheel was not included. He may still have it and it will likely be for sale.

I have no clue how it got broke. The truck is in to have new injectors put in and have the rear main replaced and have a front transfer case output seal put in. So when they dropped the trany to do the rear main they found the flywheel was broke.

More like they broke it. That thing would have sounded like the engine was knocking if it was broken. Thanks Mart but what I have are both for manuals. I have the solid mass and dual mass but no flexplates which is what Wy will need. How is it broken? I mean, with out doing neutral drops or having a bad starter shoot out and shave teeth off I can't think of any other way to break one than drop the cross member without having removed the Torque converter bolts there by snapping the flywheel. Can you elaborate on how its broken? Go to the shop and put your own eyes on it and then let us know what you see.

Chris

I'll check it out and maybe get some pics. They said it was broken all the way around. I can only figure he is saying it is broken around the bolt pattern. They just called me this after noon so I have not had the time to go check it out my self yet

Hmm... Try to get pictures... Kinda sounds like they may have broken it there. If it was broke you would have heard it knocking...
