icp bad symptoms?

Ok truck just got new fuel line new cps and now its runnin rough. Code came up for ICP low voltage....batteries are only a few months old would the ICP make it run rough enough it doesn't want to accelerate? Needing to find out if its my issues tired of the guessing game.

easiest way to check it to unplug it. it will set a check engine light, but if it runs better than the ICP is your issue

Ok just went out to start it now won't start and is putting out white smoke......injectors?

how's it cracking over, fast/slow, white smoke means it's getting fuel

Its cranking a little harder than normal and it sounds like injectors are knockin a bit when it almost starts up I'm starting to lean more towards loop or hpop

do you have access to a scan tool or AE, that can measure HPOP and duty cycle? if the LPOP is bad you will have a hard time filling the reservoir and that is easy to check. you can also try pulling the IPR and cleaning that and replacing the O rings. also dieselsite sells rebuilt IPRs for $75

Sounds more like what my 97 was doing when we put the motor it had a bad ipr and idm at that point. When lpop failed it wouldn't try to fire it smoke

Ok its trying to fire but nothing but white smoke it sounds so dang close to starting but it sounds if it would start it would be running rough as he//. What should be the first part to try replacing irp or ICP....ICP has oil on plug
