International "blue" CPS replacement...

I've had this one in the glove box for a long time...

Improved Blue CPS for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Diesel (bottom of page)

...and it claims to make the engine run smoother, quieter, better mileage etc.
So I'm going to install it today (or tomorrow, depending on replies ) but I need to know if I have to disconnect the battery before doing this?
Or there's some fuse that I should pull?

Has anyone tried out the International CPS and is it as good as they say?

No need to disconnect batteries, just make sure the truck is off when doing it, let us know your results

I have been wanting to get one of those myself. I am curious to see what difference yours makes. I've heard only good things so far. If you o to puredieselpower.com they have them there for 49.99$ and all the reviews are really good.

Just got back from a rather intense pull through the Fraser Canyon...(26 ft Travel Trailer) and I must say, there seems to be "some" improvement over the stocker.
I was able to maintain at least 50 MPH on every hill, no matter how steep...although I was dropping a bit when I reached the Jackass Summit!
Overall, I calculated 16 MPG as the mileage...that's 2 MPG more than the same trip last year with a lighter trailer, so I guess this thing was worth the money!

YMMV

I run the gray International with purple o ring. Runs and shifts very nicely. I must say though, it runs even better after cleaning the fuel reg screen. I've had it for about a year.
