ATS 6 position chip?

I was just wondering if any of you have purchased this chip for your OBS?

I was also wondering if you would recommend it and what are the pro's and cons to it versus the TS 6 position?

Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

Never used ats, but the ts style chip can be custom tuned by several dealers in case you don't like someone's particular style, but tony wildman tunes are lifetime free reburns, and they are suited to each mod you add, not sure ats does this per mod

I don't plan on doing any crazy mods. I am not doing a new turbo or injectors or anything. The ATS is $300.00 and they said that I need to get the 4 digit number off of the trucks computer then they will burn it and send it to me. The ATS is an adjust on the fly as well, but I do not believe that they do updates depending on additional mods like the TS.

I guess I should check and see what the cost difference is for the TS vs. the ATS? The ATS plugs directly into your computer.

So does the ts, and I've intercooled one of my trucks so far, and sometimes when parts go people replace with better ones so mite as well IMHO, like a stronger hpop, or smaller turbo housing, those things can be factored into the tuning, plus if you find a ts chip cheap you could just get tunes written on it for your truck later too

Too 351fifty- What all goes into intercooling the OBS 7.3? What is your recomendation on what parts to get, and how did you do the tubing? Or did you buy a kit?
One more thing, in upgrading the High pressure oil pump was the reasoning because yours broke or are there other advantages to doing it.

To Terry- Yeah the ATS does sound familiar to the TS. I was just on their website looking at tranny's and TC's and saw that they offered a chip for the OBS 7.3l and I figured it had to be a descent one; I mean ATS is a company with a damn good reputation?

Other advantages, mine has a stock hpop currently but upgrading soon because my truck came stock with split shots and the stock hpop won't keep up, throws a cel every time I stay in it,

As far as intercooling goes I've used an e99 spider, custom cut/bent pipes and a 6.0 intercooler, with various clamps and boots, this weekend I plan to do the same but with an all aluminum 7.3 ic

I wouldnt go as far as saying ATS has THAT good of a reputation. A few guys have bought their $7,000 trans and it blew a month later .....

PHP's custom tuned ts-6pos chip is 295 with 6 tunes if u never plan on doing anything with it. He charges 25 bucks a tune for a reburn while tony wildman may charge 425 but reburns are free forever.
