Your typical no start thread

I went to start it this morning, and the lights came on like usual, glow plug light on and off as normal, and nothing when I turn the key. A relay (fuel pump relay as it turns out) kept clicking for a minute and the hazard lights on the outside blinked with them.

Tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm no electrical expert, so I've been reading around online and testing/replacing parts trying to eliminate the possibilities from most to least likely. I put on new starter and glow plug relays, starter, and fuel pump relay. the fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse box kept clicking and the hazard lights blinking even after all this.

It's not what I've been wanting to do on my day off, especially since I had to cancel a kayaking run with some friends because of it

Sounds like low voltage to me.
You don't have an electric fuel pump either.

Unless you have Efuel you have a mechanical fuel pump in the engine valley, so i'm not sure what "fuel pump" relay you replaced. I would check batts and make sure voltage is correct. If all is good, then as mentioned above jump the starter solenoid on the pass fender. If it turns over then that is your issue.

The solenoid on the fender was the first thing tested and the starter tried turning over so I replaced it. I didn't even think to test the batteries since everything in the cab was going on as it should. I gotta borrow a tester later and see if jumping the batteries gets it started.

Seth, I took the relay that was clicking to Napa and they told me that's what it was The original pump is still in there.

Thanks guys, I'll let you know how it turns out.

You heard the relay buzzing and clicking so it wasn't working like it should. That usually means low volts.

I tested my batteries with my buddy's Snap On and waffle iron testers. They read in the low 11s so I had them tested at Napa and got the same results. They decided to replace them under warranty as they were from last year so I can't complain I put them in and still no start unless I jump the solenoid. Still clicking and blinking as before.

Which is the IDM relay?
