Truck damage

Well I'm sitting at the body shop waiting on the bad news. I drove my rig right infront of and around the may 20th tornado that hit Moore ok. To get my kid out of the path of it. Took some hail pretty good. I wasn't going to make a claim but my insurance company talked me into it. I figure paying rates for 14 years without a claim, they owe me something. Rumor is the rig will be totaled. I'm being told they won't do prd on older cars due to the thicker metal. I kind of hope they do and ill buy it back.
It did make me feel good that they guy came out to talk to me prior to looking at it. He tells me it's one of the cleanest 95 f350's he's seen in a long time.

Updates coming soon. Maybe some toys or a new paint job. Maybe my wife will steal it all and buy a purse

Oh yeah point to this

Other than resale value is there a pro/con to having it "totaled" and buying back?
Also if it is and i have to repaired can you get the title restored?

You can have the title rebuilt, but it will always show up as such, they will also want the title to issue you a new one that says salvage on it, but why would you want to sell it if you bought it back, it's going to basically pay for it's self now

Got piks of the damage, and glad you and your family are safe now

Paid cash for it. So its more than paid for it's self. I really don't plan on selling it. Ill take pics but to be honest i doubt you will even see the damage. It's not deep dents but there are a lot.

We have been very blessed. If the tornado wouldn't have turned we wouldn't have a house. It turned east about a half mile south of us. My wife stopped at a 7-11 that's completely gone now. She ended up being chased by The tornado for about 5 miles before she decided to turn out of its way.

Storm shelter was bought Friday. 4100 bucks and won't be installed till October 30th. But hopefully well spent money.
